Paradigm CC-300 center channel

Can't say I've really ever sold anything on here before.. I usually go with Craigslist.

This piece however needs to be appreciated - everyone on CL seems to think it's just a standard center.

It's one hell of a center, a beast. It's 8" x 22" x 15" deep, and 25lb give or take.

That's a DEEP center. It's front ported, and puts out some great bass. It's in good condition, i'd say 7.5/10.

Asking $200 shipped. Paypal accepted and I'll eat the cost for Polkies.

Yeah I never understood why it was so deep until I plugged it in and set the crossover for it. I've run it full range and it does pretty well. 80hz gives it a nice range.

I used to have it in my main rig, and in my bedroom, but since I sold my Paradigm 5se's, Titans, and Atoms, I no longer have a matching sound stage. Oh, I forgot to mention this center is bi ampable and bi-wirable. If you have a nice center stage amp, this is the center for you too.

Well so much for that. Wildgeese joined the forum just to email me and try to "buy" my speaker. He states that he sent an "echeck" to my hotmail account, and that it will be mailed to the mailing address tied to my hotmail account.

So, how can an echeck service possibly know what my mailing address is? Hotmail doesn't release that information.

Seem fishy? Because it is.

I've used echeck once before but via paypal. this one sounds pretty shady... excellent center (I have the next revision cc-350).

Wildgeese disappeared after I called him out via email - apparently he was trying to scam me. He asked if I had mailed him the unit yet when he knew I had not received the check as he doesn't know my address (there is no address tied to my hotmail account).

Anyways, unit is back up for sale.....

Funny.. Wildgeese emailed me yesterday saying the money was in my Paypal account. I don't check it unless someone tells me it is... Yeah the money was there. He didn't bother to tell me it was for about 15 days.

I emailed him twice. He didn't respond. Now he's calling me out for renigging our deal.
Here is an excerpt of his original email:
"Tuan,

The e-check is going to be mailed to the address tied to your hotmail account. If the address is not current, please update it. It will be one of those checks that you have to tear off several parts to get to the actual check. It is already addressed to your name.
"

So... he's saying now that I didn't know how to work Paypal based on his email. Buddy, I know how to work paypal, but when you send an email that says you're sending a real check to my physical address, (which hotmail doesn't have btw) and it never shows up....What would you do? I mean look at that email, he even says you have to tear it. I can't tear a paypal deposit, hate to tell you that.

This is no different than a craigslist deal. If you don't show up with the funds when you agreed, and someone else does... it's fair game. Don't email me now trying to pin the blame on me. I tried to email you twice, and you didn't respond. I don't care if you were busy, the circumstances pointed to SCAM. I sent you your money back, in full, so I don't understand how this is still my fault.
