Any feedback would be appreciated.
I will be using an Onkyo TX-NR1008 reciever -
I am using it with an Onkyo TX-NR808 (used as a pre/amp). I am still trying to set it up, when I have time. I noticed that the receiver only offers 80Hz and up for the sub. It is hard wired with RCA cable Sub Out to the LFE Input. This bypasses the internal filter of the Sub and strictly relies on the receiver settings. The LOW PASS FILTER Knob on the back of the receiver becomes disabled. The remote is does not respond very well from a short distance, and the small remote is difficult to control for someone with big hands, I dropped the remote three times and have only held it four. From what I understand from Polk, this is exactly the same as the DSW PRO 600, with the exception of the wireless option (looks, feels and smells the same-so they say). Anyway the 600 had good reviews and thats why I purchased this one. Not to knock your choices, but I have read a few articles where some have regretted buying the 500 series and wished they had purchased the 600 series. But thats not the entire population, just a select few. From what I have read IMO, I would go with the 600 series. Hope this helps TAVOLIVING ROOM: Onkyo TX-NR808 Receiver | Emotiva XPA-5 Amplifier | Polk Dsw Pro 660wi Subwoofer | Polk RTi A9 Fronts | Polk CSi A6 Center | Polk FXi A6 Surrounds [5.1 Channel Setup]
