i have asked different questions about speakers in the forum before, but now I come back with more questions. The people in here have helped me a lot.

So since now I have a external amp, I want better speakers. Firstly I wanted monitor 70 or TSi500 for fronts and move my TSi300 to surround duty, but I´m tempted to get into the LSi line. But the towers are very expensive for me, even from polk ebay store. So I´m tempted to get a pair of LSi7 and eventually a LSiC.

My question is, would it be a stupid thing to have the small bookshelf LSi7 as mains, and the towers as surrounds? Or would it be better to stay in the monitor-TSi line. The low end will be covered by my velodyne sub.

Thanks

Power those LSi7's with a nice high-current amp, and you'll swear those 7's were towers.

Mine rocked the hell out of my place, with no sub too!

    thanks.

i think my adcom gfa 7605 will be enough, that´s why I´m encouraged to get into the LSi series, is not 200 wpc as many people in here recommend, but it puts a solid amount of 125 wpc at 8 ohms, so I believe will be fine, plus the subwofer.

    Yep do the lsi

As long as you have the 3 lsi up front sound stage who cares ,the rest cant wait

I actually have a front sound stage of martin logan and my surrounding speakers are polk rti . surround sound speakers aint a big deal like some people think but it sounds best when they all got thhe same sonic signatures

Your amp would sound best with lsi7 ,the 9's need alot more to make them bark

If I can get a pair in decent condition would be great and definitely interested, since my budget is around 500.

I would give the SDA's a try. I like them a lot better for music than the LSI's.

Whole different animal but I would agree with Lee on that one.

The LSi's were a bit too laid back for HT, but excelled in music (when powered properly). The SDA's did both HT and music very well and hold their own against more expensive speakers (especially when you've got all the mods done).

I actually miss my SDA 1C's more than I miss my LSi's.

The problem about SDA is that is difficult to ship them, most people just offer them as local pickup and unless I can find something in the south texas area would be a bit difficult. But honestly I really want to try the SDA.
