Isn't this just great? I bought a projector and screen from a Polk member. The projector arrived in a timely fashion (they were both sent at the same time as 2 packages) and this is the route the screen has taken:

So here I was scrambling to get the basement ready. The ceiling is painted black, the wall will be painted a dark burgundy color. The SRS are the only thing I couldn't get out of the room by myself.
It's looking pretty good after 3 coats of paint on the wall. Oh well, we'll just have to listen to music until the PJ screen arrives...I guess that's not so bad either.

The room looks like it's coming together tho, so at least be happy about that. Is this the projo you got from Mike?CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Good God, that looks awful! I'm sure all of them have issues this time of year, but I am loving FedEx lately. I had a package go all the way to Canada from Florida (on purpose). It was loaded on the docks of the city it was supposed to be delivered to. I canceled it when I realized something sour was going on with the trade deal and had it sent back to me. It made it there in 6 days and was back to me in another 6 days (including going through customs). That was unbelievably fast to me.
EDIT: It was FedEx Ground, btw...... ><////(*> -

I have always had better luck with FedEx in terms of less lost packages, damaged packages, or missed shipping dates. I negogiated the shipping terms for my last company and FedEx won hands down in terms of service, competitiveness, and that extra day on Saturday never hurts. However, I will say that historically UPS was never this mixed up, must be a heck of a storm system out there.

That reminds me of when we shipped a large item to someone in the U.S. via FedEx. It went from Thunder Bay - Winnipeg - Edmonton - Vancouver - Edmonton - Calgary - Winnipeg - Thunder Bay - Toronto - Thunder Bay - Winnipeg. and then sat there. Then they called us asking for our broker info so they could send it across the border (the broker info was on the parcel AND on file attached to our account with FedEx.
After 4 weeks we ended up getting the shipment back because the customer got sick of waiting and it was DESTROYED! As in... half of the contents of the box were missing due to the giant holes ripped through the heavy cardboard.
That was 2 years ago, not a problem with FedEx since. People screw up sometimes. It just sucks when it involves you or your stuff. -
Joe, just install everything and project to the wall. I did that while waiting for the screen and it looks great. Then when you get the screen....WOW!!!!_________________________________________________

Nice project. But don't scare me like that, I have something coming from UPS today or whenever! Hope it arrives in one piece? I think my piece also just arrived in SHREWSBURY, MA--since you're in Quebec, you're right above me several hours?
So far I've been lucky, fingers crossed.
Keep us posted on the new room! More pics.

WOW...good news. I just checked UPS.COM and my screen moved from Shrewsbury, MA to Chelmsford, MA. today. Progress progress.
Btw...the package traveled 53 km. today. At that rate of travel, it should take 10 more days for the package to get here, not counting any border delays.
Oh, here's another update. I ordered a Buttkicker transducer, it shipped on the 18th via USPS and arrived at Canada customs on the 23rd where it's been sitting ever since.

Suddenly, Supertramp's "Take The Long Way Home" popped into my head."I did not slap you. I high-fived your face."
