I have one. I think it's a gtp400...,
but I'm going out to get dinner now.
I do know it needed de-oxing when I quit using it. No biggie there. But you do live on the other coast so maybe somebody closer might chime in.

It is a GTP-400.
While you learn about de-oxing a component, I'll try to get to this and de-oxit and retest it.
Then I can price it, if it's worthy, which it should be.
I've had a few Adcoms products from this era and they all needed de-oxing. I just started de-oxing in the last 6 months. I've known about it for years but just started doing it myself. Easy as pie. It just takes two days to allow it to thoroughly dry since I fried an old receiver the first time by only allowing a couple of hours. Man I liked that old Fisher.:frown:

Thanks Mole. I have a dude in Riverside that has an Adcom gtp-500 for sale. He's asking $65 so Im gonna see if it checks out ok. Will go good with the 545. If not the B&K 10 is a great choice. Might be overkill for my garage set-up. Lol.LIVING ROOM:

Fingers crossed! Hope it works. I hear that some adcom preamps are prone to having tuner issues. I need to have a good working tuner otherwise its pointless. Gotta have my favorite station KCAL rocks!!!LIVING ROOM:

Thanks anyways. This thing sounds great. This is my first venture into Adcom separates, and I'm liking what I hear. Now if I could only snag a GFA- 5802 or 585 for cheap....LIVING ROOM:
