Do I need baffles behind my 6x9 door speakers?

Do I need baffles behind my 6x9 door speakers, or is this over kill?

    If we are talking $8 XTC baffles, do it. Want more? Run some Dynamat behind them too, perhaps even covering most of the interior of the door.

    A must for CS in my humb..whoops.

    A must for Car Stereo. Should tighten up the bass, clean up the mids, and maybe even increase power handling slightly. Some will even say they help increase the life of speaker, by acting as an insulator.

    A good speaker in a bad enclosure, isnt a good speaker anymore.... A typical car door/dash/trunk=bad enclosure.
