My grandmother (88yrs old) still drives, does her own finances (has more money than Bill) & makes the most orgasmic pecan pies on the face of the earth!

Don't even start it!
My grandmother can kick your grandmother's AS$!

This pie is sooooooo good, that when I eat it, I notice myself making moaning, ooohhhhhh, mmmmmmm..... sounds!
You cannot find anything like this, anywhere close, except in the mind of this woman.
Everything she touches is just the best you ever had!
She may have some previous experience!
Unbelievable.

Any good cooks trip your trigger this holiday season?
Best dish?
Pounds gained?
Tums taken?

Enjoy having her, they go away much too soon. My "Granny" died in 1974, at her old age she would get on the back of my motorcycle and ride with me as much as I wanted. I really enjoyed my time with her. She would always make me apple pies with apples she would pick out of her back yard, they were just awesome. She made a lot of other things I really liked, but the apple pies were very special.

Unfortunately, no. The real cook in my family passed away last year and I did not have the chance to cook.

    I hear ya.
I lost one of the great loves of my life last year.
    My Dad's mom.
I have never broke down as deep as I did the day she passed.
It really is loosing a part of your soul when you loose one of the landmarks from your entire lifespan.:frown:

No loss in life is good but I have to agree with you there. The world lost a great one the day she passed. I'm sure you feel the same way.

My mother's crab & asparagus soup is to die for. Even folks who hate asian food line up for it. Unfortunately, due to circumstances, she didn't cook this year. :frown:

My oldest brother is a professional chef, and generally does all of our holiday cooking. I look forward to holiday meals all year long.

He's the head kitchen manager at a place called "Krapils:The Great Steak", in Worth...which is near Oak Lawn(Chicago for you out of towners). It's a great place to eat! Not cheap by any means...but excellent excellent food. It's the kinda place where you're going to spend $150-200 for a couple people to eat and have a few drinks.
