Excellent movie, obvious price mistake:

DEAL IS DEAD

A particular version of Road to Perdition is also just a buck.

    I get a better deal than that......:p

    ( FREE  )

We get screeners for video store owners to watch before they purchase a large amount for our video store. The screeners consist of a mix of DVD and VHS. At times we get to keep the screeners. Which leads to free movies. Of Course - after we keep them we can't sell them or give them to anyone mainly because it's against the law.

But in a screener - the pictures turns grey every other time, periodically(sp), or words run down the picture for a short time.
On DVD's you do not get your sound choices, like you are stuck with w/e. Which is most of the time analog sound. Instead of Digital. But, FREE - IS FREE......

BTW - No one can beat our movie collection that lays in our house.
Which by the way is over 3,000 movies. If anyone can beat that, I will be surprised.

O.K, I've told ya'll a tad to much - time for me to shut up now! lol!

I am curious to know what happened-
I didn't get anything in my email about there being an error.
I wonder if our orders will go through?

I got the email today, smashing my dreams of $1 dvd's. :(
They did give a coupon code for $5 off a purchase of $30 or more.

    My email to them.......Just because.........
An error on your part shouldn't really be reason to cancel my, or anyone elses, order. I won't be using your coupon. Should you decide to honor your pricing like any other company out there would, let me know.

I can't beat it personally, but my sister-in-law is the head video buyer for a rather large chain of grocery stores in the midwest. She gets the titles as you described... every once in awhile words come on ..."If you've rented or purchased this video, please call..." and "Not for retail sale" and other such things. None of these fade in and out, though.

I finally saw their new home this May. Walked into a storage closet and was stunned at the number of videos and DVDs they had.. then realized that the rows were doubled-up. For every video/DVD I saw, there was at least one other behind it. And that didn't include the storage in their bedroom.. and under the bed... and on the computer desk.... She always has DVD titles that have not yet been released to the public. Can't claim it is more or less than 3000, but they have more movies than a couple of the rental places around here.

I asked her why it is that she orders hot, current, "big" screen movies in FullScreen format (the stores she buys for happen to be in my town, too). A lot of people don't like those black lines, they think they're "wasting" something by not using all the TV. I guess the stores get enough comments or complaints that she factors that into her buying decisions.

Yeah those are classified as screeners. We have so many of them its about annoying. Their everywhere, in the garage, stacked in my mom's closet. My EC, my sister's room. We can't always keep them though. Only some of them - we don't get alot of DVD screeners though.

Personally - I would, and my mom would to probally, I would give away all the dang movies in that house.

bad things about screeners, and seeing about every movie that comes out. It is so hard to get into movies because you know what is going to happen, how it is going to end. I get so bored with movies. Movies totally suck arse! Screw movies...
