It’s that time of the year, and boy do I have news for you. But first, a brief recap of last year’s financial activity.

Between both the Polk Audio and AudioKarma forums:

2009 – Total for checks written directly to Githens Center by you and hand delivered to them by me totaled $3,766. I also wrote a check to them at Christmas time, for $3,100, from the account where I keep the Githens sales money, depleting it to an end of year balance of $5.

Total donation for 2009 was $6,866 and I thank you again.

Hold onto your zorches now, or sit down.

2010 Githens Center donations between both Polk Audio and AudioKarma forums:

Checks written directly to Githens Center by you, and hand delivered by me totaled $8,554. Three days ago I wrote them a check from the Githens sales account I keep, depleting it back down to an end of year balance of $5. Oh, I rounded the amount up ever so slightly, so that the check would be for a nice, even, $5,000.

Total contribution to a school for handicapped kids in calendar year 2010, is $13,554.

I, am freakin’ delirious over the whole affair.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, whatever you celebrate!

George

Just absolutely awesome George just awesome!!! I love that place and they sent me a Christmas card . . . I was floored that they would do that and I gotta tell ya, I was a little bummed because I didn't want them to spend a nickel to express their thanks.

You sir are the most human, caring, unselfish individuals I've ever met!

A testament that true good still exists in the world, both by those who added to the donation fund, and by a singular and very human being, in the best sense of the word "human".
