Up for grabs is a modified Dynaco pas preamp more details here in this thread

http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=105426&highlight=dynaco+pas

I got this pre hooked it up and didnt care for the sound myself and havent had the time nor energy to try and figure out why, it almost sounds to me like that one of the tubes may have gone microphonic or something not sure it seems to sound scratchy and distorted at times it may just need a deoxit bath not sure. Anyways if someone wants it the price remains the same as before $100.00 shipped to your door. Buckeyetim has first dibs on this because I told him he would have if I ever sold it.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

No hurry it's all yours  I will send that other pair of NOS tubes for your tube buffer with this pre when I ship.

No real snow forecast for the near future. I think the best you can hope for is that I fall on an empty beer bottle whilst retreiving a fresh one. You never know, I might trip and poke my ear out.
