Sunfire Cinema Grand SERVICE Manual

Looking for the Sunfire Cinema Grand 5 channel amplifier SERVICE Manual. I need the electrical schematic. I already tried all the carver websites online but could not find the SERVICE Manual. I already have the USER Manual. Anybody have the Service Manual?

    The service manuals are still proprietary to Sunfire and are unobtainable yet. Are you having trouble with one?

    Rita's Vintage HiFi would be my choice for service. Bill is the authorized repair tech there and worked for Sunfire. While any service is being performed there, Bob can sign the amp for you before it gets sent back.

    I have two Sunfire amps, and one of them has one of the rear channels out. I have a buddy at work that used to repair consumer electronics for a living and it would have been nice to have the schematic. He is going to take a look at it for me. My guess is a pair of the Toshiba transistors is out. I was reading up on them and it says they have to be beta matched. Can you purchase them that way or is there a way to match them yourself? I know they no longer make the originals 2SA1302 w/ 2SC3281 and now substitute a 2SA1943 w/ 2SC5200. Rita's repair shop will definetly be on the list if we cant get it to go. On the upside, I can use both for a 7.1 channel rig instead of a 5.1 :)

    Bob Carver was supposed to have supplied the Carver forum with service manuals and schematics for all Sunfire gear. This was almost 2 years ago and now he no longer works for Sunfire. We may all get a surprise one year but I wouldn't hold my breath.

    The last time he was reminded was this past September, right before he was officially ousted.
