Friend is looking at buying a Pioneer Receiver VSX-1325-K(sale at future shop)
specs on the reciever says its only good for 6 or 8 ohm. He has bought the LCI series which are 4 ohm. He has a friend that says its find to use that reciever with those speakers, I'am not so sure! Opinions??

Thanks

Your friend is smoking dope. No it's not ok. Will he get sound out of them ? Sure he will. Will he damage the receiver or speakers, eventually he will. Ask him if he likes to throw away money, if so, I'll send him my addy.

Story: Went into my distributor for some cable and while waiting walked into the demo rooms and started playing around....next thing you know I walked out with a full Polk Lsi' surround and a Pioneer 1020...polk was a new product and I was there first Polk sales (salesmen were green to the Polk product) anyway during hook noticed the 4ohm issue. Sure I used it anyway but not how I wanted to...ordered my new SC-35 and Sunfire and amp with alot of help from CP and shopping...while doing so came across some bad stories of blowing up a speaker, receiver or both...mix a couple of beers, some jams, and whammo next morning your $hit doesn't sound right....

When I received my new amp and receivers....WOW what a difference....all thanks to club polk for some sound advice (literally) Thanks CP...
