hooking up monitor 50 speakers

hi, I just picked up a pair of monitor 50 standing speakers and each speaker has 4 jacks. 2+, 2-.. do i need to use both? can somone clarify why there is 4 hookups for each speaker..much appreciated

    Its setup to bi-amp or bi-wire the speakers. Just keep the gold connectors on and connect your speaker wire to one set of the jacks ONLY. Thats all there is too it....
