Bad Caps?

I picked up a CD player I loaned to my father about 10 years ago last night. It is an early 90's JVC. I popped the lid and saw what looked a leaking cap but I am not sure. I have not even connected it to anything to see if it plays.

JVC used glue that looked like that to hold larger caps in place. They weren't very neat about it either.

BenPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

I've had that too on an amp board before, but it always pains me to see that dried fluid as you don't know exactly whether it's glue or cap leakage. If the CDP is working well, I wouldn't fix it unless you're looking for a project, but in my case the caps were bad anyway. -
Looks like a burn to me and why haven't you hooked it up yet?CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
