IEC power cord for plasma

I have some questions about the IEC power cord for my Pioneer Elite Kuro PRO-151FD plasma. I just bought a SurgeX XF2 surge eliminator that comes with it's own detachable IEC cord and was wondering which one to use and if it matters what cord is used and did Pioneer design or select a specific cord to work in unison with it's plasma?
