Soldering wick or Soldering sucker???

    Ok, back on topic, I used to do a lot of through-hole repair work on returned electronics for a former employer. I like a sharp tipped soldering iron and a solder sucker. It's my observation that the solder wick requires more heat to get the solder out. We eventually got a heated solder sucker with a vacuum pump. That was nice.

    I'd get them both and see which you like. They're cheap.

    I will use both, depending on the job.
