Marantz ma 500 on LSI-9's?

I know these are still pretty sought after amps. Im considering buying a pair of them to push my 9's has anyone done this, how does it sound. Also what is a fair price for these theyre on fleebay right now but id rather buy them on audiogon once sombody lists another pair of them. thanks guys,

    I've used a vintage Marantz 250 (125wpc@8ohms) to power my LSI-15's, and it has a nice sweet sound, well suited for the LSI series. I was a little hesitant to really push it hard, but the Marantz drives the LSI's effortlessly.
    I think they are a very good match.

    Thanks man thats always been my fear is comparing brand to brand RMS and getting hung up on the numbers. The reason i was looking at these amps is because none of the Marantz amps are rated at 4 ohm stable on the their specs.
