New Plasma in DA house

Well i went off the deep end this weekend. With the wifes blessing we went and bought a Panasonic Plasma. It was a toss up between the LG pk550 and the panny TC-P50S2. I liked everything about the LG and that is what i set out to buy,but in the end we had them side by side and the panasonic won because of the anti-reflective coating. The LG I thought had the better picture but my wife does not like sitting in the room with the lights off to watch TV. So the last thing I wanted to see was all the distracting reflections. Well as we were driving home she told me she had to go by work and wanted to show me something. Unbeknown to me she had already picked out a new TV stand. I was all for using the one we had and i had modified it to fit all my gear. I must say tough I liked it and so we ended up getting it also now my gear will breath better because it is an open glass shelved unit. So now my Denon 3805,Denon 3910, Dish box and antenna rotor box will all look even better.
One last thing a friend had given us his 42" Sony LCD (2gen) so it was a big step up from our Sanyo 32" CRT HDTV so after looking at all the TV's in the show rooms the 50" didn't really look all that big BUT after getting this sucker home IT IS FREAKING HUGE comparative speaking. Now I just need to get her on board the new 7ch amp and pre-pro and a nice new uni BR player.

Now I just need to get my butt in gear and finish the XO upgrade on the SDA1 signature's and the SDA2a's which I am really enjoying. By the way I must Send out a BIG thank-you to Ben for the advice on the 12.00 PE solder station and Jesse(F1nut) and Ben for their help on the XO caps and such

    Congrats on the purchase! Now make me jealous with some pics of everything set up all pretty as a picture :biggrin:

    I'm trying to help my dad buy a plasma right now, and have been looking at both Panny and Samsung. Let me know what you think once it's all set up and tweaked properly.

    That's a nice TV you got there!! We also picked up a new TV for Christmas...love the HD channels esp sports! With DirecTV you can opt to have the channel guide display only HD channels and I find myself drifting there as the standard digital channels just don't cut it anymore.
