Getting ready to pull my polk system out of the closet to install in finished gameroom. I have the f/x300i's and it has been 6 years since they were installed in previous home. I can't remeber what is the recommended height for install????

    Hey mjgol72,
Welcome to CP....I am just a mere Newb here but I will share how I have my front stage set.
I have read (not on here) that all 5 or 7 or 9 ch should be in line with one another. (heigth wise) but as you see, my system is not following that equasion. However it does fulfill my situation.
I set the heights of tweeters on the frnt chnls in a straight horizontal line with cntr chnl. The cntr chnl shares heigth within 1" with the frnt chnls. (32"above floor) I then set the RTi F/Xi A6's (thanks Leroyjr1 ) surrounds at 16" above the front stage (so 48"above floor)
    hope this helps.

    Merry Christmas' USA!

    Matt:biggrin:

MJ, First off, welcome to club polk! Feel free to introduce yourself on the welcome page of the forum. I've attached the manual for your speakers here so you can place them in accordance to your arrangement. There is a chart on the 3rd page of the manual that will help you use the ideal placement.

i like my surround speakers high on the back wall. i have mine about a foot from the ceiling.. works great. esp since your speakers are bi/di pole. so I recommend you start with them high, then adjust to your liking. there is not wrong or right placement.. each room/house is different.

thanks for the help, i understand the placement of the speakers relative to where u sit in the room, but my concern is the height which i could not find in the manual, i am going to pre-wire the walls before i hang the drywall, so i would like to have an idea where to bring the wire out of the wall into a face plate
