Monitor70 SeriesII defect - should I return it?

Hey folks,
I got a set of cherry Monitor70s and Monitor50s recently from Newegg (awesome deal!), and I found that one of the 70s had what looks like a gap on the rear bottom. I shined a bright flashlight and I don't see any air gaps, but I wonder if the glue is enough? If it's only a cosmetic flaw, I don't want to bother returning the speaker for an exchange, but if it's a performance concern I'd like to get a replacement.
Any thoughts?

Welcome to Club Polk!
Frankly, I'm not sure by looking at that picture what kind of gap that is or even if it is an air gap. What I'd do is run this by Polk Customer service and see what they say. You can trust them to do the right thing. These are not sealed speakers so I don't know what kind of effect, if any, that would have?

I know it's not the best picture out there, but I looked at it myself up close and if there is an air gap somewhere in there it's smaller than the tip of a needle. Here's a close-up.

It looks like it might be possible. Probably some slip up overseas in manufacturing. I assume you bought these new so you have a warranty? And the problem is reshipping to the seller? Extra fees. Still think it's a good idea to just give Polk CS a call and get 'advice' on what to do from them. Their CS is one of the BEST around.
Good Luck!

Yes, I bought them new. Yes, the problem is having to ship a 50lbs box back to the seller. :frown:
I sent CS an email. Hopefully they can reply soon.
