Hello,

I just bought a pair of rti150, fx50, csi40 and rti28 for a 7.1 system. Obviously, I'm missing a sub. Since I cant use the PSW650 (moving overseas, voltage not compatible), I'm going to go with different brand sub.

On my other thread, somebody suggested a SVS subwoofer. They do look very nice, but I've never heard how they sound. ANy opinions on this sub? (any type really, but I'll probably go with the $500-600 ones.

Cheers

ps: I bought the 7.0 speakers for a total of $2150... does that sound fair?... please say yes!!!!

Go to search at the bottum of the subwoofer forum, and type in SVS.
They are online base only, so you get an inhome trial. If you dont like it, send it back, no questions asked.
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

I'd sell the sub, then get myself an external amp, separate from the receiver, with lots of current to run those mains on. I wouldn't necessarily use a sub with those mains, seeing as they are only down -3 at 26Hz. Having said that, I've never heard the RTi150's. What country are you moving to?

    Two Channel Setup:

    Speakers: Wharfedale Opus 2-3
    Integrated Amp: Krell S-300i
    DAC: Arcam irDac
    Source: iMac
    Remote Control: iPad Mini

    3.2 Home Theater Setup:

    Fronts: Klipsch RP-160M
    Center: Klipsch RP-160M
    Subwoofer: SVS PB12NSD (X 2)
    AVR: Yamaha Aventage RX-A2030
    Blu Ray: Sony BDP-S790
    TV Source: DirecTV Genie

    I'm moving to Indonesia.

I just thought I liked how the rti150 sounds. Didnt try the rti70 tho. At the time it was displayed with psw650. (which is better than without psw650).

I'm looking at the Outlaw combo peramp&amp, instead of using an onkyo tx-sr800 now. But then again, voltage is a problem. Plus I cant enough review/postings on how the outlaws work with polk.

    Hey polkseeker-

I think the polk and Outlaw are a great match...I can actually say for once that I feel no need to upgrade my amps nor my speakers, however, upgrading my DVD player is another story...heh

Anyway, you won't be dissapointed with the Outlaw/Polk combo...

    -BL
    TWFTPQ
    Receiver: Outlaw 1050
Amps: Outlaw M-200 x 3 (Powering Mains and Center)
    Mains: RT800i; Center: CS400i; Surrounds: F/X500i
    Sub1: 214L Vented Tempest
    Sub2: 122L Sealed Tempest

SVS are awesome subs. I have the 25-31PCi sub ($549 nowadays I believe) and it blends in perfectly with my LSi9 speakers. Make sure you give it all it can give by getting a decent aftermarket power cord such as PS Audio's extreme power cords or others of that calibur. Again, you can't go wrong with SVS...the build ONLY subs and beat out Velodyne as well (hard to believe eh?). Happy Listening...

What he said. I will probably be doing this in a month or two. Hopefully not the returning part though.
