Folks,

I am selling an almost like new Arcam C31 preamp (display unit). This is Arcam's top of the line preamp. It comes with original double box and remote control (still sealed). I got this from a liquidation store...bought home and tested it for a few songs just to make sure everything is working. This has the phone stage. Would like sell it for $850 shipped to 48 CONUS. Pick up will also be entertained. This would be rated a 9/10 easily with Agon rating. I would like to see if there is any interest in this forum if not I will move it to Agon.

Email me with any questions if interested and do not PM me as I don't regularly check this site.

    I don't understand jolax's mission.

Is it to be a part of Club Polk, or rape CP members for every dollar he can get?

I don't think he's ever posted anything but "For Sales", and not that it's required, but I'm not sure he's ever listened to a Polk speaker.

Pretty simple concept - if you don't like it or think it is priced too high, Don't buy it. If you think the price is too high, PM and let him know. Ultimately, its worth whatever someone is willing to pay. I have been fortunate enough to be able to extend "Club" pricing on some gear I could have gotten more money for and certainly have paid less here than anywhere else on some items. But, this is thread crapping more than anything else.

    Angelfan,
If you think the one on the Audiogon is cheaper and same condition as mine, you are fine to buy from that person. I am not forcing you to buy from me. I am pricing my gear at this price because I know what kind condition my stuff is.

    Inspiredsports,

Please let me know anyone in this forum that has been raped their dollar on the items I sell here. If you have no proof, please stop bashing people's thread.

Shawn, I think youre missing the point. Maybe you guys are friends or something. Like others have said, I believe most other polk members are here to "help" eachother out, whether with technical assistance, or maybe occasionally selling used gear when they upgrade or come up on a good deal that they then want to pass it on to forum members. It seems that Jolax is strictly here to sell things, like a reseller, and thats it. I maybe be wrong but I doubt it. There are other websites better suited for his needs. Theres gotta be a reason why so many members "feathers" have been ruffled. Thats my opinion folks.

Who cares if he is only here to re sell? there are others also that do the same thing here would you like the names? buy it or dont buy it your choice, if you or anyone else has a problem with the rules the way they are, talk to managment, as of right now you and others are breaking these precious rules you seem to care about so much.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

I am not missing anything. I have been a contributing member here for a long time and am familiar with looking out for each other. Fact is what was done in this thread is illegal according to the rules. jolax and I are not friends, but whether he is here to sell or not doesn't concern me at all. The same people who scream that rules need to be enforced are the ones who break them. It doesn't matter to me whether or not you agree with my stance or not. jolax hasn't broken any rules. So either post ineterest in purchasing or stay out of the thread.

Shawn, agreed. But heed your own advice." So either post interest in purchasing or stay out of the thread". I think Jolax can stand up for himself....Peace.

I actually am looking for a new pre so my intention was to explore the option of buying. After reading, I decided to heed your advice above. He certainly can stick up for himself; mods please delete any of my posts that you seem inappropriate.

You can always bend rules to your benefit.

Part of the rules state, "You must have a total post count of 100 (contribute to the other parts of the forum) before you can sell anything in the "For Sale (FS) Classifieds" or "Garage Sale" forums".

It's the intent of the "contribute to the other parts of the forum" statement that I believe is being stretched by joexlax.

I just sold mine in black to a guy in the UK for $750 and he paid $200 to have it shipped to him. I couldn't get that on Canuckaudiomart and i couldn't afford to reduce it much more so i never thought of putting it on here.
