I just read a blurb about how George Lucas is going to release all the Star Wars movies in 3D starting in early 2012 in theaters. What do you guys think? Will it be cool?

In the theater digital 3D is really cool! If done well it will be something new for long-time Star Wars fans and will also introduce a whole new audience to the story.

The consumer 3D they are pushing sucks! So it's good he is not doing that ..... yet!

Personally, I find it a bit ironic. For me, 3D is the holographic projection of Leia saying "Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi; you're my only hope". When we have something equal, or better, than that then we will have 3D. Anything else is a gimmick.

The BluRay release is much more important in my mind, and is where I will spend dinero.

My good buddy George is bound and determined to completely destroy that "Galaxy far, far away". The last thing I ever want to see is JarJar Binks in 3 eff'n D. Where has Lord Vader gone as I would love to see his light sabre off in Lucas's backside.

I'll catch the original trilogy in 3d, but I'll skip the new garbage.
Do you hear that buzzing noise?
