BIG Subwoofer Wanted

Hey fellas, being the bass freak that i am, im looking to add another sub to the heard. Dont really have a peticular one in mind, so tell me what ya got.

Looking for something along the lines of a PB13 ultra, or some of the bigger eD or Epik subs. Because of the size of these guys obviously a local sale would be preferred.

Oooh, a submersive would be SWEET! But depending on asking price it might be a little passed my budget.

VMPS has got to have the "biggest" subs you will ever find..

If you are handy with woodworking you can build an SVS Ultra basically for right around a grand - give or take

Wow! Those are big. I'm eventually gonna have a couple of sealed cubes built and use the LMS driver in them. But for now I'm looking for a nice used sub.

You should have somebody build you a custom A7-900. I actually built mine (custom tuned to 15hz) and cut all the wood myself, including the bracing. When I make another, I will definitely be using at least a better saw, if not using a wood shop to cut the wood.:eek: Seriously though, you can save a lot of money doing that. If you have an account at Blu-ray.com, you can login and go to their home theater equipment forum where I believe a member named PitBullMike is selling his piano black PB13 for something like $1k plus shipping if you are more interested in leaving the DIY part out of the equation. :biggrin:

Thanks for the suggestion DK. For now I'm gonna stay away from going the DIY route for now.

My good buddy Mike sold his ultra a few weeks ago. Thanks for the heads up though.

Elemental Design has a flat pack 19Ov.2 Ported DIY Kit that you can purchase. All the pieces are cut already. There would be some DIY (assembly and cosmetics). $700 plus shipping.

I actually have 3 MFW's right now and an Epik Phoenix. If find a Conquest (or something similar) I'd probably move 2 of the MFW's.

I'm happy with the output, but I'd like to get something that digs a little deeper.

I've had a sentinel before, and honestly I'd take an MFW over it. Not knocking the Epik, It's a great little sub but I'm looking for something bigger. Plus I think it's a little overpriced.

I was gonna go pickup that HSU but the seller changed his mind about selling it. He said he added a 2nd one and was extremely happy with them. Maybe he just hast gotten around to pull the ad??

A friend of mine kept bugging me about letting him try them out at his place. Well long story short, once we got them setup and dialed in there was no way in hell he was letting me bring them back home. lol So they're gonzo. :eek: On the brightside I can now buy your Castle outright should you choose to sell it. :biggrin:

I kinda regret selling them. But he's a really good friend of mine and he was in NEED of some clean bass. Out went the BOOMY 10in subs he had and in came the 15inchers. :eek::biggrin:

I just got a hit from an AVS member who might be selling a Conquest locally. He's gonna let me know tomorrow if we got a deal. It would be sweet if I get the chance to pair it up with Phoenix that's for sure!
