I just got a big order of music in today and am having a blast listening to it. The following have been added to my CD collection:

John Lennon- Plastic Ono Band (2000 MFSL remaster)
John Lennon/Yoko Ono- Double Fantasy (MFSL remaster)
Foreigner- Foreigner (MFSL SACD)
Little Richard- Little RIchard/Here's Little Richard (MFSL Mono SACD)
Phil Collins- Face Value (Audio Fidelity 24KT Steve Hoffman remaster)

I've been going from disc to disc so far, listening to the tracks I'm most familiar with before going through the whole of every album. I must say, MFSL really knows their business. The Foreigner album in particular is outstanding! The Double Fantasy MFSL blows away the original CD I own in every possible way, especially bass. Plastic Ono Band is a surprise for me, as I'm only familiar with the "hits" off the album. This album also has fantastic dynamics. For me, the extra cost and collectability if these CD's makes them worth the extra price!

The MFSL Double Fantasy is a stunner! More detail than I've heard before on this album. Even Yoko's stuff is fun to listen to on this one. The MFSL of Plastic Ono Band is also a winner, though it is the 2000 remix by Yoko so I dont know how it would compare to the original version. I keep putting the Foreigner SACD in the player again and again...just stupendous. The Little Richard SACD is fun to listen to and I appreciate the importance and influence of his early work, but I'm not sure I would have picked this one to give the SACD treatment to. The higher resolution really brings out the limitations and flaws of the late 50's recording techniques. However, there can be no denying his vocal prowess. Does anyone know if Hendrix was on his first two releases??
