Hey guys,
I have a home theater with RTiA5/CSiA4/RTiA1 in 5.1.
Now I like to do a 7.1, i just want to know what speakers should I take. Another pair of RTiA1 to finish my surround, or a pair of FXiA4?
Or should I bought 2 pair of FXiA4 for my surround?
Or again, I can take a pair of RTiA3 for my side surround, and put my RTiA1 at the back.
Thanks for your help!!!

The rears should be direct-radiators. If you get dipoles like the FXi series and can place them directly in-line with your couch/seating, use them for side surround duty. Otherwise, just grab a pair that matches your current side surrounds and you should be good.
I'm running dipole sides (FXi30) and direct rears (RTi28) and it works nicely.Equipment list:
Onkyo TX-NR3010 9.2 AVR
Emotiva XPA-3 amp
Polk RTi70 mains, CSi40 center, RTi38 surrounds, RTi28 rears and heights
SVS 20-39CS+ subwoofer powered by Crown XLS1500
Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray player
DarbeeVision DVP5000 video processor
Epson 8500UB 1080p projector
