True Grit and The Fighter

Both movies come out this weekend!
Can not wait! I think both are going to compete for best movie of the year.

    didnt expect this rehash from the coens.

    im sure i will watch it, probably many times, i mean it is being made by the most original filmakers of our generation.

    just seems sorta out of character for them.

    also as much as i love the big lebowski, i dont know how well that character will play as a cowboy.

    The Dude is not playing the character in this movie; Jeff Bridges is. He's a pretty established actor with a pretty wide-ranging resume.

    I really liked True Grit. Bridges is great but the actress who played the 14 year old girl stole the show. I hate to blaspheme but I liked it alot more than the original. I am much more an Eastwood cowboy fan than John Wayne. It plays more gritty and real than the old one.

    You're damn right about that!:smile: Jeff Bridges is one of my favorite actors; he is a truly talented artist. I haven't seen True Grit yet, but I definitely will, and I hardly ever see movies in the theatre.

    scottyboy76, you got it all wrong. The Dude's character is Flynn in Tron.....seriously. :biggrin:
