Best 10 in sealed subwoofer under $500

Title says in all. I my new house I made a deal with the boss that I would put the sub in the built-ins and I could keep my lsi7s. I got a dayton titanic for real cheap and I like it, pretty tight and I cross it over pretty low so its small range (about 30-80) isn't a problem. But I would love something a little tighter that goes a little lower. Sometime in the future I might try DIY, but right now that's not an option. So, what's the best reasonably priced 10 in sealed sub that you have heard/owned?
Thanks,
Paul

bump...nobody has a 10 sealed sub that they would recommend? Or are they just all well over the budget?Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

what are you driving the sub with? What size area do you expect a 10" to fill? You are asking a lot from a 10. They don't go as low as a larger driver or as loud. For HT sealed and small don't go together well.
BenPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Its the titanic kit with the dayton 240 watt amp with the 6db boost at 30 hz. I have a decent sized room and realize that I am not going to pressurize it or hit <20hz in my room. But I would like something that might dig a little deeper than 30hz IF that's possible. Its crossed over at 60 from the lsis and 100 front the surrrounds, so its not getting TOO much extra pressure from those.
The ed sealed 10 incher claims to go down to 25 hz -3db, but there are not many reviews on it. I would try it out if someone had some it experience with it or a similar sub

Hmmm, I have to kinda agree with Ben here, might as well look for a sweet little 12" sealed sub.How many cu. ft. room are you looking to pressurize? Lol, I've always found it's better to have a little bit too much bass than not enough.

Thx for the help guys but i guess i wasn't clear. It has to fit in the builtins which means a 14 in cube, or perhaps a bit deeper and wider but 14 in tall max and needs to be sealed or perhaps front ported (but i prefer the sound of sealed subs for music which is my priority). So any other suggestions?Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

The little Ultra 10 sub from emotiva probably suits your bill perfectly. Small and sealed.

The only other thing I can think of is probably those sunfire true subs, they go for a price but they're decent subs for their size. Another sub I think you might suggest is the SVS Pb10. Yes, it's not sealed, yes it's too big, but it is a 10" that goes low and does well with music. But you can't expect too much out of a 10" sub in such a small enclosure when it's sealed. It would probably roll off sharply at around 25hz and won't thump your chest in HT.2Ch Tube Audio Convert -
Here's an ad, http://www.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?homesubw&1295894811&/Sunfire-TS-SJ8-True-Super-Juni.
Little out of your price range, but just an example. you can check your local CL or ebay for a better price, but they're decent subs and they're largely made as a compromise for people who want small subs with a decent thump. Of course this costs more than a regular sized sub which can keep up just the same.2Ch Tube Audio Convert -
I just bought 2 of the sunfire juniors, awesome sub in a very small package. Very happy so far.
