Line out to sub question

I have a HSU STF-2 sub and the back appears like in the picture.
Can I just use a "Y" splitter from the out of my preamp to the sub?
HSU
Rogue Pre
Rogue only states in their manual the following regarding their outputs:
"The outputs to the power amplifier and tape recorder are arranged to the right of the input jacks." I assume this means both are controlled by the volume on the pre meaning these are both "variable"?
99 details
THD: <0.1%
- gain: line stage: 23dB
- gain - mm phono: 65dB
- gain - mc phono: 75dB
- RIAA accuracy: ± 0.1dB
- rated output: 1.5V
- maximum output: 30V PP
- output impedance: 350 Ohms
Thanks!

are you using 2 subs? if so then yes, a y splitter will work.Polk Audio Surround Bar 360

It's just the one sub but note there is only a single RCA in for the LFE on the sub but it's two RCA out from the pre.
So Y splitter from the "recorder" out to the sinlge LFE in? I thought I read somewhere this could possibly damage the subs amp? Quite possible I also misunderstood the configuration or amp setup though.
Thanks,

I also read that I can connect just one of the RCA pre outs ,say the Right, and connect that to the subs LFE in. Someone stated that the info that would go to the sub would be mono anyway so no need for a splitter.Analog Source: Rega P3-24 Exact 2 w/GT delrin platter & Neo TT-PSU Digital Source: Lumin T2 w/Roon (NUC) DAC: Denafrips Pontus II Phono Preamp: Rega Aria MK3 Preamp: Rogue RP-7 Amp: Pass X150.8 Speakers: Joseph Audio Perspective 2, Audio Physic Tempo Plus Cables: Morrow M4 ICs & Audio Art SC-5 ePlus, Shunyata PCs Misc: Shunyata Hydra Delta D6, VTI rack, GIK acoustic panels

Also any reason not to use a sub cable if the single preout to the LFE in is in fact ok?

Anyone, Bueller... confirm or deny rumors I've read elsewhere on the web?
1) Y splitter from preout to sub LFE in = bad or good?
2) Simply use 1 Preout, IE the left only from the Pre to the sub?
3) IF two above is true can I/should I use a sub cable from the pre to the sub?
Thanks

The problem i'm seeing that you will run into here is that you would not cross your speakers where you sub is crossed over.
Essentially your speakers will run full range while you have your sub at lets say 80hz and below. This can result in cancellation of certain frequencies and loss of fidelity.
1) Y splitter from preout to sub LFE in = bad or good?
That sounds fine, be better if you can cross the signal with the sub
2) Simply use 1 Preout, IE the left only from the Pre to the sub?
You'd want both channels feeding to the sub so you'd get bass from both channels being redirected tot he subs.
3) IF two above is true can I/should I use a sub cable from the pre to the sub?
Any cable should work such as rg6 and rg59.2Ch Tube Audio Convert
