I don't know why, but everytime I spot her she is in Texas....or some other far away location.

It looks like nobody in SoCal has this prized set or is willing to give it up just yet... Damn, Damn, Damn. I'm not even greedy. I just want the mains...that's it.

But mark my words....I'm going to catch her in my hood 1 day...and then  That **** is mine!!!

    Austin.
Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

The last 1 I spotted was on Craigslist and it was in Texas as well. It was listed around the beginning of the summer.

I believe someone on this forum got it. Lucky **** (I mean that in the nicest way).

I would like to listen to those at least once. That and those really big Infinity speakers from back in the day. How many of the SRTs were made?

I have no idea how many were made but at the price they were originally sold at, (around 12k I believe), I can't imagine Polk stamping them out in any great number.

I got a chance to hear them at a recent Polk GTG and that confirmed for me how good these speakers really are. Now I'm more determined then ever to get my hands on a set.

I think you mean "white whale"

"white elephant" is something whose value far exceeds its usefulness. A fool's prize.

"white whale" is a metaphoric Moby Dick reference meaning the almost obsessive object of your desire. Something that you spend your life chasing and never acquire.
design is where science and art break even.
