Would The PSW 10 Do Well With This Combo?

Hi All,
Getting ready to pull the trigger on my H/T system after about 6 months or so of research. I just wanted a little more critique before I do it. The main purpose of this post is to critique this sub....basically Amazon is offering a deal where if you buy two Polk floorstanding speakers you get the PSW 10 Monitor series sub for free. I did have the PSW505 in my cart of for the longest time but now there is around $200-$250 that could be saved by doing this bundle deal. Would this sub suffice with this set up?
Receiver: Onkyo TX-SR707
Floorstanding: Polk Tsi 300
Surrounds: Polk Tsi 100
Center: Polk CS20
Sub: PSW10 Monitor
Now obviously I realize that the PSW505 would be ideal but if I can get somewhat comparable performance with the sub in the package and save a couple of hundred bucks in the process I would prefer that approach. Critique away please!
Jeff

The PSW10 doesn't compare to the 505 at all. It's probably the worst sounding sub I've ever experienced. More port noise than actual output. I bought one to enhance some bookshelf speakers I have in zone 2. They sound better without it.

I second that. The PSW10 is terrible. The 505 is MUCH better.Display: Sony 42" LCD

Panasonic DMP-BDT110 blu ray player
AVR: Sony STR-DA2400ES
Amps: Sonance Sonamp 260(fronts),

Surrounds: NHT Super One
Subwoofer: SVS PB10-ISD -
I had a PSW10 sub, while it is very weak for home theater, its not a bad little sub, just dont expect much from it. I would go with the 505, Newegg.com had it for $205 w/free shipping.Polk Audio Surround Bar 360

On sale you can get the 505 for just a bit over 200 dollars from either jr.com or newegg.com so why even bother with the PSW10?
The PSW12 was my first sub and though better than the 10 the PORT noise required hours of tweaking....before I found a place in the room where I could barely hear it. Those earlier subs REALLY did not like to be PUSHED. They're not bad at LOW volumes but once the LFEs get going....watch out.
Save yourself some headaches and go with the PSW505.

Well, it all been said, all I can do is confirm what everyone elses pointed out.On sale you can get the 505 for just a bit over 200 dollars from either jr.com or newegg.com so why even bother with the PSW10?

1. The PSW10 is the bottom crop of the PSW line and yes it has been reported on many occasions that there are some port issues.
2. The PSW10 and the PSW505 are night and days, NO comparision what so ever.
3. The PSW505 is also a great match/support for the TSis, Monitors and RTi As in my opinion.
4. Some options are you could try convince amazon to replace the PSW10 for a PSW505 and if need be maybe pay a little extra for the trade or if they are not willing to go for such deal, buy the 505 and use the cheapy sub elsewhere or sell it as brand new un-opened box for lets say 100$ or maybe give it away to a loved one at Xmas (there are always people that can not afford good audio and would be content to use such small sub).
IMO, the TSi might provide a better SQ as stand alone without that sub anyway.
When it is free, there is usally a good reason, remember "you get what you pay for" (exception of Polk's generosity/give aways )DARE TO SOAR:
