Steve, congrats on a fine setup. I have the same TT and love it. You may want to experiment with the mat. My finding matched the reviewes on that TT using the mat.
The CA clamp others recommended is what I use as well. I believe H9 is the one that turned me on to it.
I am waiting on my test LP in order to use the Fozgometer. Our TT allows for azimeth adjustments. We will see if it matters or not.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

I haven't bought the table yet, but it will likely be either the MMF-5.1 or the Marantz TT-15S1. If I do the MMF, and end up sticking with vinyl, I'll upgrade later.
I'm pretty damn fussy (sensitive to) background noise---so I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket yet. I haven't owned a turntable since about 1986, so I'll need to readjust and decide.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -
That Marantz is one sexy TT. I have been drooling over it since the MD catalog arrived a few months ago.
What is everyone's opinion of the ClearAudio tables?-Kevin

Steve, I have LPs (used from half priced books) that are as quiet as any CD.
After a good cleaning of course.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

What is everyone's opinion of the ClearAudio tables?
I think generally Clearaudio is a little on the pricey side, but they are well engineered, very good looking (IMO) and just good tables. I think their cartridges are excellent...but again somewhat pricey. I have heard a few Clearaudio tables over the years and have always been impressed with the sound, build quality and looks."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais
"For those who believe, no proof is necessary. For those who don't believe, no proof is possible." - Stuart Chase
"Consistency requires you to be as ignorant today as you were a year ago." - Bernard Berenson -

+1 every bit as good a table as some that cost lots more! . . . and purty too!
