Projector choice and install questions

Getting close to buying again. I was looking into wire routing and was wondering what wires should I consider? HDMI of course is a must, but should I run every type of connector available from the PJ to the pre/pro just in case? And what is the maximum length I can go before I need some type of signal booster?(I read that somewhere).
PJ's I'm considering:
The Epson 8700UB....there's one for sale on the forum.
The Optoma HD20 ....a budget PJ that's supposed to be very good and I can get below $1,000 local.

I'm running an Epson 8500UB over 45 feet of Monoprice HDMI with no booster. I actually thought I was going to need one because of the length of my run, and I bought one... but with the booster in place, I got blue speckles and when I took it out, perfect picture. I highly recommend Monoprice's HDMI cable and wall plates, as it worked out quite nicely for me.Equipment list:
Onkyo TX-NR3010 9.2 AVR
Emotiva XPA-3 amp
Polk RTi70 mains, CSi40 center, RTi38 surrounds, RTi28 rears and heights
SVS 20-39CS+ subwoofer powered by Crown XLS1500
Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray player
DarbeeVision DVP5000 video processor
Epson 8500UB 1080p projector

I am using an Optoma and am very satisfied with the result however, it is a fact that the Optoma are budget PJs and Epsons are well regarded PJs so basically, you have to determine what is your priority. Budget concious or best VQ possible? Now, another point to consider is the forum asking price on the Epson and the remaining lamp life. If the price is right for you and if the lamp is near new and-if there is a spare lamp offered in the deal, maybe then its a no brainer. Just keep in mind most PJs lamps are expensive.DARE TO SOAR:

I'm extremely happy with my Epson 8100 and a 104" screen. I have a 50ft HDMI cable with the $13 (or so) repeater just in case.
Watch the Epson store; they have refurbished units at great prices now and then._________________________________________________

If you can manage the coin for the one in the FM, go for it. Much better PJ than the Optoma. If you think it's a tad to much then go for the Epson 6100/8100 which is better than the Optoma. Links and in stock
