The Black Keys - Live at the Crystal Ballroom DVD

I was buying up the back discography for the The Black Keys and didn't realize I had this DVD already (it was funny since I had really wanted to listen to it too...)

Link: http://www.amazon.com/Black-Keys-Live-Crystal-Ballroom/dp/B001HQ6ZC8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1292371109&sr=8-1

Anyway, I have an unopened copy now.. and figured I'd pass it along to a new or soon-to-be Black Keys fan..

They put on an incredible live show for just two dudes. Its a spartan, blues-influenced rock. Mostly just drums, guitar and vocals; a very old-school vibe for some late-20's, early 30's guys.

To Qualify: 100+ posts and name a blues-influenced rock band you like (I need some more bands to listen too!) =)

I'll pick the winner Friday night, so I can ship by Saturday

In please. I love these guys, amazing for just a two man group. Love his guitar tone. Seems he gets a big tone out of practically nothing more than his guitar and amp. Never seen him running into any processors/effects etc.

In, please. Lots of great blues influenced rock bands, not least of all the Stones and Zeppelin. I've always enjoyed Stevie Ray Vaughn and Robert Cray....

In Please, love The Black Keys.

You have to pick up Buddy Guy's new cd - Living Proof. Absolutely smoking set. Buddy Guy is fast becoming one of my favorite blues players.

He's playing at his blues club in Chicago every Wed-Sun for the month of January. Trying to pick a date for a group of us to go in and see him. Same as you........on my to-do list and to see him in his own club is kind of cool.

    P.s. Sorry for the derail

An oldie not mentioned yet: Bad Company

If you are interested in more 'traditional' blues - not just 'blues influenced' bands, check out blues guitarist Joe Beard - "For Real".

And if you want a blues sampler - check out Audioquest's Blues Master CD - very clean sonics and some very good blues!
