Is the Onkyo TX-SR707 good for my setup

I have the polk monitor 70 fronts and a cs 10 center and some old surround speakers ( to be replaced soon). Would the Onkyo TX-SR707 be a good receiver?

I especially like listening to 2.1 audio (m70 and sub) (via SACD player) and would like to know if the onkyo 707 will be good or will it still be under powered to bring out the best in the m70s?

Would bi-amping the two m70s using the surround outs of the 707 make my 2.1 listening more pleasurable?

Thanks.

Yes it will power your setup just fine. Biamping won't make any difference with that receiver unless you use preouts and 2 separate amps.

CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Yeap it's fine unless you're in a large room. If so just add a separate amp.

Even in a large room you'd be fine since it's 90+db efficient. If you live in a church, sure, that might be a valid comment.

    Thanks.

The 707 was doing a nice job with my setup for nearly a year before I added the NAD amp. I believe you'll be very pleased with it's performance and features.
