denon 2900

this was bought brand new on september 17, 2003. it has seen 2 owners in the time it has been around, and has been used to play only 1 dvd which was a concert. cosmetically this thing is a 10+, not a scratch on it, and has always been well cared for. i have used this as my primary source for 2 channel music, sacd's and dvd audio, and has only been hooked up thru digital connection to make sure it all works properly on that end, which it does. this machine operates flawlessly, and has never had a single hiccup for either one of its owners. i am also including a set of 3 month old AQ g-snakes which will go with this. its how i had it hooked up while i was running it. a few forum members have heard this operate, and i will guarantee it to work when you purchase it and 30 days afterwards.

i am located in greenwood indiana, about 10 mins south of indianapolis on us31. the asking price is $180, and thats a tad lower than most ive seen on audiogon in the past 6 months. i will entertain offers of trades as well. i have the original paperwork for this, box, foam, etc. for this unit as well as u can see in the pictures. you are more than welcome to come have a listen, or have someone come take a listen for you if you would like me to ship. i will ship with $300 insurance on this as well incase fed-ex gets curious about its durability. GLWTS. I can personally say this unit works as I heard it a week ago. It looks flawless and sounded quite good (it was paired w/ a Denon 1610 for a bit, and Matt used it w/ a 3490 as well).

I simply have no need/want for it or it would be in my collection as we speak :biggrin:.

thanks man, its a great audio source. just wish u coulda heard it on sa-cd mode. i originally purchased this for a "larger" set-up before my fiance got pregnant, and just never got to finish it. the first time i ever heard this 2900 it was hooked up to a Linn amp and preamp powering a set of martin logans. needless to say the 3rd kid put a damper on the new set-up... which is certainly a good compromise :biggrin:

I bought this very same unit in about the same time frame and am very pleased with its performance to date. This is a extremely fair price IMHO for anybody that wants an outstanding universal player.

Not to nitpick...but I think anything that's opened and used should be rated at 9-9.5 at the highest just due to the simple fact that it's used. IMO, the only time something can really be rated as a 10 is when it's brand new. Obviously Polk doesn't have an official rating system in the Flea Market area, but most of the members here(myself included) kind of use the Audiogon scale as the reference point.

That's just my opinion though of course...and that unit does look to be in fantastic shape too. Those Denon universal players are great. I love my 2910.
