after my recent purchase of a cs-10 center, i ran into a problem of "where can i put this thing". i put it on the stand underneath my tv, but its about 2 feet BELOW the tv, and u can tell the sound is coming from a little low. messing with a few settings i was able to get it a little better but not as much as i would like. how do you guys mount your center channels? i was thinking on top of the tv and making a shelf myself out of pine or something. dont want it hanging out 10" infront of the television either. input? advice?

Just thought I would throw this out their....you can flip the center over and have it fire "upwards" if that makes sense.

i have it flipped currently to fire upwards. just not working as well as i would like it. that shelf isnt a bad idea, but i still would have no way to really mount that to the top of the TV. im about to break out my damn epoxy and glue the **** to the top... lol jk jk.

Yeah, thats a shame brother, I would maybe experiment with some different mounting ideas on a sheet of paper and see what works best for you. Take a look at the system showcase and see if you can find any ideas there. good luck.

im thinking about buying some thin pine board and cutting it, putting a front lip on it, have it overhang the front about an inch, put a back piece to level it out, velcro it to the tv from the bottom... so it makes a sort of n shape with the back leg being longer and paint it black, and set it up there like a shelf. just worried about the bass rattling it off on those big impacts.

Why wouldn't the shelf that Ender posted work for you? Just a few bolts into wall stud and you are done.

Can you post a pic of your tv and surrounding area?

the one Ender sent you should be nice and sturdy for your center and you can adjust the length of the arms on the mount.

You should think about running some Ethernet wires possibly to help you update your electronics easier....not sure if it would help you, but know you mentioned that in talking.....

no way im running ethernet wires in this house lol. i only have 2 that can be updated, and both are in that picture. my 2900 is on the back burner and being sold, its not getting use with a 1610 so the SQ just wont be there, it will be overkill as a sacd/dvd audio player. convert everything to flac and run a cable from the laptop to the receiver when i wanna play music off this.

    btw... EWW TECHNO!
