Yeah, um, not for me. Couldn't do it. Literally couldn't get muscles to move in that scenario.

A few things, those little "L" shaped steel ladder rungs, they rust, wouldn't trust them at all. Had a few break myself on me. Secondly and most important, the dark clouds rolling in. Hello, lightning ? Takes alot longer to go down than up.

I was thinking maybe as long as I was safetied off all the time, but that guy wasn't. No way could I go up after he got out of the ladder cage. Besides, I've done some utility pole climbing, and climbing anything is a young guys game...... I'm not young aymore.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

Yep, once off of ladder and onto the rungs I'd be done, plus the shear height of that tower!!
Some years back did some work on stacks just under 500' and also on the Walt Whitman bridge about 420' over the delaware river. After you look around and get working, and getting used to the sway things settle for me.

The guy in that video has more balls than brains I think while at the top.

I might be able to do it if I was given a parachute. Otherwise, no way.

Can't they keep their tools in a toolboxes every 50 feet or so?

I have no problems with heights and enjoy hiking in the mountains where 6,000' + with tremendous vistas are common...but I prefer something more substantial under my feet.

A fall from 4 feet can kill somebody under the right/wrong circumstances, it's just that from the tower, you've got a lot of time to be terrified and scream before you reunite with Mother Earth!

Nah, use no underwear to begin with. Just shake the pant-leg to remove the unecessaries.

Insane--My arms were getting weak just watching that.

I would think it would be a better idea to take a helicopter up for that.

LOL, that reminds me of the "monkeys-in-the-tree" corporate structure!!

Cool video, though... wondering to myself how much those guys get paid??
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

I can only imagine they wear undergarments similar to those that astronaughts wear. Can you imagine getting up there and realizing that you have to pee?

I was thinking the exact same thing. Get one of those rigs they use for high voltage power line repair.

Peeing is no problem, it's the other that would be a bummer.

I could not do that either. That safety line might help but I did kindof freeze on top of a 40' ladder. But I had no safety line and concrete was below me. Very nerve racking!!!!

I knew a guy that did that exact job in the military and then contract work after he got out.
