Blend CS2 center w/ Monitor 60s
I recently purchased a CS2 center to replace the RM8 center and, what a difference!
It does however seem to want to do ALL the work.
I use the system 50/50 in terms of HT and music. For music, especially, the CS2, seem to cover up the monitor 60s.
I have used the (ONKYO HT-RC260) auto-setup and here are the results. The sound is pretty good, but I worry the crossover may be too low. The sound level for the center was adjusted to -10, and the fronts to -8.
auto-setup:
Front 60s : 40Hz
Center Cs2: 40Hz
Surrounds RM8s : 150Hz
Back Surrounds RM7s: 120Hz
** I have also tried to manually adjust the fronts to 60Hz, Center to 80Hz. The sub-woofer is currently a PSW110.
Any ideas how i can better blend them? Any tips or comments appreciate.
Thanks!

For Music if you want to just do the Monitor 60's change the audio mode on your reciever to direct. This will give you audio out of just the Monitor 60's. That or set it to full channel stereo and it should do the same thing (just from all 5 speakers instead of just the front 2).I have used the (ONKYO HT-RC260) auto-setup and here are the results. What you could do is go buy a SPL meter from Radioshack (I used the digital, but most recommend the analog). Then go into the level settings of your speakers while sitting at your primary location. Switch between the speakers and mess w/ the levels until you get the same SPL from each speaker. This might mean you need to have them all at -10, -8, or set slightly differently.
Regarding crossover frequencies, I have my Monitor 60's set at 60 myself as well as my CS2, but you can play with those to see what sounds best. I would personally think that 40 is too low, but others are much more experienced with that than I."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted."
