COPS: One of the best shows of all time!

Always entertaining!

Baffling too!

This woman just got arrested for trying to gank some brew. Instead of just getting a petty theft charge for the shoplifting of beer, a misdemeanor that doesn't get jail time for a first offender, she took it to the next level. She tried to bite the store clerk, a customer, two cops and kicked the camera man. So now, because she assaulted people, it's a robbery charge which is a felony and she also has three battery charges and two charges of assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and obstruction an officer in an investigation because she lied about who she was.

You know what she was taking a 5 finger discount on? Keystone Light.

Let me repeat that. Key. Stone. Light.

WOMAN! If you're gonna go to jail for stealin' brew, at least make it GOOD BEER!!!! I mean, go all out and instead of fightin' with the cops, shotgun as many of them as you can before they get there! Geez! Do I have to think of EVERYTHING?!

I love it when the marathons are on! I'll sit here all day watching this stupidity!

Reality TV began and ended with COPS.
Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

I've always said that everyone should be required to watch at least an episode of Cops. This would serve at least two purposes: it would expose some otherwise oblivious middle-class citizens to, let's say, some different realities of life, AND it gives you an appreciation of what real cops have to deal with.

Cops is a reality show for thugs/gangbangers to watch themselfs or their homies get picked up and be proud as they sit in jail. The rest are just a bunch of drunk or drugged out idiots. How anyone finds any entertainment value in it is beyond me.

The show sucks along with 99.99999% of the other reality shows on TV

Baffling exactly describes it. THe things people do on that show are literally inexplicable.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I have always said to myself, while watching COPs, 'You know, people who run from the police really do deserve to get the crap kicked out of them'. I believe this to be one of the universal truths.

Some states have flee laws (or used to, not sure now) where if you ran they could shoot you. My ex brother-in-law ran in Florida and was shot 6 times in the back, and lived. He has life long effects from it. He was awarded a substantial amount of money only because one cop was a rookie and was carrying and shot him with a weapon he wasn't qualified for.

That seems extreme for fleeing...and cops beating people is probably a bad idea also. It's just you see these people fleeing and ask 'what were they thinking?'

Well, I think it is a fleeing felon law, not all fleeing in general. It has been a long time and I don't recall all the details, but it did happen.

Awww, dude, you just need to develop an appreciation... it's an acquired taste!

    COPS rules! (JMHO)

Unfortunately, truTV bombed with the awful Operation Repo, which pretends to be "reality", but is really just a dramatization - and a bad one at that!

To each their own. It's not really entertainment value that I get out of it, just a complete fascination about stuff that's really going on out there. While fascinating to me, it's also pretty sad. That said, I do think it's far more real than most reality garbage out there.

    Agreed.

I have nothing but respect and appreciation for law enforcement in general. They do put their lives on the line for not near enough pay.
