Pre choice: Adcom GFP-715 or Rotel RC-995?

I've been doing some research and for the price range I'm looking in, to me these look like the best options at this time. Just picked up a pair of modded SDA SRS 2.3s and an Adcom GFP-555, waiting on a Denon DVD-5900, and last (but not least) will likely try to snag either a Rega P1 or Project Debut 3TT (a topic for another thread)...
So, I'm interested in any/all opinions on these or any other similarly priced pre ($200-400)...thanks!

The 7xx series are much better than the other Adcom Pre's.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

The 715 is a great pre just leave the tone controls alone...

Thanks for the feedback gents, that's what my gut was telling me before your feedback anyway but you guys' opinion definately sealed the deal...so I pulled the trigger on a 715 this morning, Merry Christmas to me.
If I'm not mistaken TFFL, the 715 has a bypass that negates the tone controls, right? So that should take care of that...and if I can find a 750 for even $650, I'll be all over it...I shoulda bought yours last month! Thanks again guys. Now about that turntable...2 channel rig: MMF 2.2 turntable, Adcom GFP-715, Adcom GFA-555, Adcom ACE-515, Carver M-1.0t, Denon 5900 CD/SACD, SDA-SRS 2.3s (Zardoss modded), AQ Diamondback & King Cobra IC's and AQ Type 4 speaker cables

I can't wait to see pics of the set up. I have the SDA 2.3 SDA as well, but not modded yet. Need 4 more 194s and some spikes and the parts gathering will be complete. I switched from a nad pre to the Rotel 995 and have been pleased...ok I really wanted a remote.

Hey Cincycat, based on the research I did it sounds like the 995 is a great pre...One of the very few mods that hasn't been done to my 2.3s is to spike `em, so that will be done very soon. Thanks for the interest, I'll post up pics once I start getting everything together early next week.2 channel rig: MMF 2.2 turntable, Adcom GFP-715, Adcom GFA-555, Adcom ACE-515, Carver M-1.0t, Denon 5900 CD/SACD, SDA-SRS 2.3s (Zardoss modded), AQ Diamondback & King Cobra IC's and AQ Type 4 speaker cables
