Anyone rewire their tone arm?

I am thinking about doing my TT with Cardas wire and running the wire straight to the cartridge omitting the short jumper wires on the head shell. This would give a straight shot from the cat to the RCA jacks I am going to install on the TT. Now it has a hardwired IC cable.
Thanks
Ben

Yes, I've re-wired my Pro-ject 6.9 arm. I posted it in a thread I think it was last winter. Sonicaly I couldn't hear a difference but the wires I used were much stronger and break far less often. I actualy used wires from a computer usb add on cable. The hardest part was threading them through the tube. The way Pro-ject tubes are manufactured makes it a royal pain. I will re-wire again with Cardas. Do yourself a favour and attach the new wires to the old and then pull them through the arm, unless of course your arm is easier to work with. Good luck and have fun.

I replaced the 20 year old wire and connectors on my denon dp-72 with cardas wire. Solder a flexible multi strand pull wire to the old wires before you pull the old ones out. Solder cart tabs on and pull the new wire into the arm. Sounds better to me. Well worth the 1/2 hour of work.

I am definitely going to use the old wires to snake the new ones.
