I needed to order some connectors from Soniccraft and also got some of the Neotech wire. I got the 3002 mid model and used cardas and Eichmann rcas on the ends. Very impressed. I have the Hageman cable burn in device cooking them in for 3 days. I listened for a while with 2 sets between the dac and pre and from the pre to the amp. Sounds great. More in a couple of days. Thanks George and others.

That looks good for my TT to Phono Pre. I have a hard wired stock wire there now. I have been looking at the Canare 4 wire.

Thanks for the heads up as I was looking at trying this. It is good to know that the Eichman RCAs fit around the 3002. Looking forward to the the rest of your review.

One thing I am not sure of though is if the capacitance of the 4 wire would be too high? Oh well back to spinning some Boz Scaggs.

I used the 2 conductor analog wire for the IC. The wire is 10.5 mm in diameter and neither the eichmann or the cardas rcas are big enough. If you remove the outer cover it will fit fine. I soldered the shield to the ground on the source end. Soon as they are done cooking in the hagerman frycleaner I will use heat shrink wrap to cover the ends. I'm working on a wireless remote controlled ldr preamp that will have balanced connections. When its done this wire will get vampire xlr connectors to replace the rcas. I bought 12 ft of wire so I will have 1-3ft, 1-2 ft, and 1-1ft IC. So for now the ICs are rca and when the balanced preamp I will convert them to xlr. Then I need to get the balance phono preamp finished. DIY is the way!

IMO, their solid core(chassis wire) makes a better I/C.

    Face,
I used solid 28 ga silver wire before and liked it. I used cotton or teflon tubing for insulation and no shield. I thought I would try something different. This wire has a nice sheild but PE insulation. What ga and covering would you suggest for the chassis wire? Shielding?

Alot of this on Fleabay in all ga's up to 16ga:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230546705334&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.com%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp4712.m570.l1313%26_nkw%3D230546705334%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

I was thinking of using the solid core Neotech 16ga pvc chassis wire to upgrade a power cord on a Rotel amp.
I would twist it and put it in a tube.
It has an 18ga/2 wire polarized plug now.

Any reason this would not work?

I used the same thing in my B1 Buffer, twisting the L and R channels. I prefer 20 and 24 ga as they're easier to work with and am not a fan of shielding.

Make sure that it is rated for the voltage.

The wire is sounding great. Typing on a droid x for the first time. LZ ll Moby Dick sounds very direct and clear. Maybe too much edge but we'll see or hear as it is.
