Monitor?TSi speaker testing
I was wondering if anyone knows of a Stereophile style test done to a Monitor/TSi line speaker? I have not seen one anywhere. I like the sound of them but, it would be nice to see how they stack up to the competition! Impedance curves, cabinet resonance, FR responce plots ect...

Nothing? For being such a popular speaker, you would thing something would exist.Things are more like they are now than they ever will be!

Those publications are pretty niche. They rarely test "popular" products. Usually it's upscale or overpriced stuff. Last Polk speaker I saw in Stereophile was the RT25/i, and it was favorable.Main Surround -

This is non-technical but I think most will agree.
I had compared the Monitor and TSi series bookshelf speakers back before CC closed. They are very close in design and in sound. The TSi seemed to have slightly better sound quality but not enough to justify the price jump. The bigger difference is in the cosmetics.Stan

I know skrol. I meant technical testing to see how they rate with other brands. Like nguyendot said, they only seem to test upscale and overpriced stuff. Which is sad but, it sells the magazines. It is why you usually see a test of a Ferrari or Porsche in Motor Trend.
There is another forum on the net that totally bashes them. Why? If they were $2,000 speakers, they might have reason. I paid WAY less than $200 for my pair of Monitor 40s and honestly, when set up in the room right, they REALLY perform!Things are more like they are now than they ever will be! -
You could have a product that cured cancer and gave eternal youth and you could find a forum on the internet that bashed it.
