I am selling my Behringer Ultracurve Pro DEQ2496 that I no longer use. I will also include the ECM8000 Omnidirectional Measurement Microphone as well. Both are in very good condition. The microphone was only used once or twice, and I will include the original boxes as well. $200 shipped.

This must remain in your system to keep the "problems" fixed. I no longer need it, and I use vacuum tube equipment for my music.

How long is the microphone cord? Do you have the manual also? How difficult was the learning phase to use it?

Joe,
The microphone does not come with a cord, but it is just an XLR cable, and they can be purchased fairly cheaply at a guitar store. I cannot seem to find the manual, but you can download it for free from the Behringer website. There is a slight learning curve, but it is not too hard to use once you get the hang of it.

I have one in my system now just as a demo and I find it to be a very versatile piece. Yes, there is a learning curve and the manual is not very well laid out, but there is an online tutorial found here: http://www.decdun.me.uk/deq2496.html No affiliation to the author(s) I'd say the price isn't too bad for the complete set-up._________________

I'm trying to decide between this and the Samson D1500. How did you have it set up in your system? What cables did you us, optical between the source and the dac? Or did you use and adapter that changes the XLR to RCA?

Joe,
I was using XLR to RCA cables. They worked great.

If it were my money I would go Behringer. The Samson stuff doesn't hold up well. -
Out of curiosity, how did the unit affect your system when in place? Did you feel it made notable differences? Did the unit affect your sound stage?Home Theater:

I mentioned a Behringer SRC 2496 and A500 in another thread. There are some that would have liked to ban me over it:rolleyes:
Funny, no ones derailing this thread with all the negative talk of Behringer. Enjoy it, I know my Behringer DCX 2496 is a real flexible piece that has benefited my subs.
You are getting a great deal.... -

I noticed my sound stage became much more separated, and it really helped out with clarity. -
Congrats with the sale gentlemen, Joe, I have a feeling you're going to really enjoy the DEQ2496. Have read about this unit in various forums and it sounds like people really like them.
