I have decided to sell this so that it can actually get the use it deserves. I have hardly used it at all like I thought I would so hopefully somebody else will. Redbook and SACD sound incredible and it's very hard to beat for the price.
I purchased from the original owner here back in July. I have only put about 20 hours on it and original owner only put about 200 hours if I remember correctly so this is about as close to new as you can get. It is in the exact same shape as it was when I received it. Will come with original box, remote, and manual. Please PM with any questions.
$200 shipped

I saw all the recent posts on the Denon DVD-5900. I actually have a NIB 5900 that was going to be part of a home theater system that did not get built. On Sunday I sold my NIB Denon AVR-5308 for $1200 on eBay. We're moving so with no home theater, there is no need for the equipment I have been saving all this time. I came across this post while trying to get a fix on a price for my Denon DVD-5900. Recommendations?

REGARDS SNOWWell, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all -

Offering it up as a karma drawing would be the neighborly thing for a newbie, such as yourself, to do ! Ho Ho Ho ! -
Clearly that would be a rock bottom starting point but I was really reaching for a higher zen level.
