Anyone out there have an iPad?
What is your review? I'm pretty much set to buy the iPad2 when it comes out. I read today it may ship as early as February.
I know the iPad is a great product, anyone have any real problems with it?

No real problems no. Sometimes after hiking up the side of a mountain it starts to feel a bit heavy, but that has been the only complaint I've had.

I also have no issues with my iPad. Didn't think I'd really like it but I bought it anyway and use it all the time now. Will be interesting to see what iPad v2 is like.

Use it on the time here as well. 64gb version with tons of apps and games. Love the remote app Squeezpad, which allows my Ipad to sync with the Squeezebox Touch giving me the ability to play what I want, shows me albums, and everything else. Very nice toy and highly recommended. Airplay works very well which allows you to stream direct to other Apple devices with no cables used ( in my case Apple TV) and shows up on the big screen.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

Its a lot fun. Handles all the internet & movies stuff much better than the laptop. However, its really a toy at the end of the day, its not convenient for work, at least not fo rme.Mains - LSi9's

Do you have to pay for the 3G service?

I believe they have data-only plans for those so yep!
Thing is, AT&T no longer offers unlimited data plans. They sure as hell didn't expect people to take the term 'unlimited' to heart. Because of all the users on their network, they decided not to offer it anymore.
Edit: I meant, not offer Unlimited plans anymore.Truck setup

Can't imagine paying for another AT&T plan. Already paying $170 a month for 2 i phones (which I love) and $130 for home Internet, phone, and TV. These prices are starting to get outrageous. -
iPad plans come in two choices.
250mb of data per month for $15 a month with no contract or $25 a month for 2GB. You can sign up anytime and cancel anytime.
There is no contract
Is the 250 mb enough to cover you all month? For my I-phone I pay $30 a month for unlimited use. I'm usually on my iPhone's Internet about 2 hours a day. -
I don't know. the ipad is my dad's. all I did was buy it.
My Parent's have a summer house in Florida and they don't have internet there, just fios tv. So the plan is to turn on the 3G when they leave NJ and turn it back off when they come back to NJ.
If the 250mb does not last him a month then he'll upgrade to the 2GB plan.
Hey LAS,
Cool video of Dad opening the Ipad man. Awesome to have cool family share the moment. Get yourself an Ipad too, they are nice to have.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

Just picked up two of them last night. Got a 16gb wifi for me. And got a 32gb version for the lovely wife. Honestly for me I felt the 16gb was enough. I am picky about the music I will put on it. But mainly I am using as an Internet tablet. Nothing more, well angry birds and plants vs zombies, and cut the rope too!
Can this play avi movies or only mp4? -

Maybe when they come out with the iPad Kilimanjaro version it'll be lighter. I know a lot of rock climbers had the same complaint. Personally, I can't get over the fact there is no carabiner grommet... :rolleyes:design is where science and art break even. -

I read a little about the Chrome OS and first thoughts of it, its a web browser and not much else. Maybe that will change in time, but I don't know that i would do a web browser.Personally, I'm waiting for the PlayBook:http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/27/rim-introduces-playbook-the-blackberry-tablet/

Bought the wife one. No issues so far other than the case gets dirty quick (black felt) and the screen has to be constantly wiped for fingerprints. We did not attach a screen protector film on it.
She has the 32GB but in hindsight we should have bought the 64GB since she loves videos.
