I am starting a HT setup in my basement and so far I only have a cs400i.

It's a good start but I need matching speakers for the front, rear and a sub.

Let me know if you are within a four hour(round trip) drive from central NJ and have something I may be interested in.

Thanks!

Brian

RT55's would be my best suggestion to pair up with your CS400. They're exceptional over-sized bookshelves for both music and HT.

    You can also go with RT600, 800, 1000 (which I owned), 2000, 3000 and have a timbre-matched front stage.

As for the RT800's, I believe it to cost about $150 or so to ship to NJ from CA.

    $150 to ship...ouch!
That's why I want to find something local.
I'm going to look at a pair or rti12's tonight.
I know they're are not perfectly timbre-matched to my 400i but the price is right.

For HT use exclusively, I prefer the Rt800's. The Rt55's are suited for both 2 channel & HT use. You really cant go wrong with either one. Imo.

I picked up the rti12's, an Anthem avm20 and an mca20 for $500 from CL a few hours ago.

I just have to find some matching surrounds and a sub and I should be on my way.

I'll have to find an mca 30 to add to the mca 20 for HT use.
Or I may just sell the 20 and get an mca 50.

Is this how it all starts??
One minute your shopping for a few cheap used speakers, the next you are trying to find something to sell around the house to get more gear.
I there a name for this disease?
    Is there a cure?
