    Used, preferably. Price- looking for that great polkie special. Just dropped some serious cash on a new amp set to arrive soon. Gotta make sure I have one of these to protect it right?

    You got an emo xpa5 right. They plug straight into the wall. Its in the manual. Most amp companies tell you to plug the amps into the wall and not a power conditoner.

    Check out monoprice.com. They have a power conditioner that gets good reviews at a low price.

    rtart, I looked at monoprice.com and only saw one UPS unit. I didn't recognize the brand name, just wonder who actually makes it and how it compares to the panamax,APC Furman etc..units. I kinda got a made in China vibe from the pics.Yikes, after looking at the more recent reviews ,the QC of these units seem to have Chinese written all over it.

    Wow. I did not know that. I thought amps had to be plugged into a power conditioner/protector.

    It looks like it to me too. Do you use one? (Power conditioner) If so, what brand? Is your amp connected to it?

    That would be unprofessional to just leave numbers flying around. That's what PM is for in case he's interested.
