    Most indeed was about time, not much of a Bronco's fan anymore since Elway and then Shanahan gone but Bowlen made a poor choice with Josh. Maybe he will make a better one and get Cowher :biggrin:

    I doubt Bowlen will go after a big name, look for him to wait until after the season to see who is available and being mentioned. But off the top of my head Rick Dennison and Jim Harbaugh come to mind.

    Dennison i think would be a good choice. Lots of coaching experience and of course being an ex bronco's linebacker doesn't hurt either:smile:

    A name floating around all over the net right now is Troy Calhoun coach of the Air Force Academy. Former assistant under Shanahan while he was in Denver.

    Harbaugh would be an excellent choice but it sounds like Stanford is about to lock him up for some years and major salary increase, so he might be to high to get.

    Also Bowlen may have an out for paying Mcdaniels the rest of his money due to the Spygate II scandal. There is a morale clause in his contract.
